Temperature is hot and the sun is shining in the sunshine state. However, we don't quite have our regular afternoon showers yet.
I've already been to the beach for 3 weekends in a row (New Smyrna, Cocoa, and Space Coast) and to the neighborhood pool multiple times.
Training has gotten tougher needing to bring on more fluid and getting on the bike around 6 in the AM to beat the heat and get a quality workout in.
That's why I moved back to Florida.
Come and visit! You've got a room at my house.

what's cooking in the neighborhood
...literally...
sunday I was just working on finally putting up my chandelier with Desiree when I got a text msg from my neighbor asking me 'how bad's the fire?' I thought she was messing around telling me that I need to water my lawn. I replied to her 'what fire?' and she said look out the front door. Glancing out the door I was like holy crap. Desiree and I both rush out the house onto our bikes and both grabbing our cameras to take pictures of the 'excitement.'
The fire was on the landscaping at the back entrance. It's been hot, humid, and lack of rain. A perfect combination for a brush fire. I fire probably started from somebody flicking a cigarette out their car from the turnpike (it runs just over the back entrance). Luckily, FD responded quickly and the situation was contained.
Then came back home and finished the chandelier with the help of my neighbors as they stopped by with their kids.
...craziness...
